I should preface this post by saying Wesley Brewington is the incredible photographer behind these photos, so I can’t take too much credit! (Hi, Wes!) I can, however, take credit for spending lots of money and slurping down 1/2 pound of lobster with garlic butter sauce while some of these photos were being taken!
A trip to Boston came real last minute as my boss decided to take me and a few coworkers to Cape Cod for a Global Youth Justice conference. I had never been to Boston so I was thrilled to go! And so happy I did!
I quickly pinterested all the best things to do in Cape Cod during the winter season and came across a multitude of iconic sites to visit and popular foods to try! The Lobster Pot floated through my feed a couple of times, but it wasn’t until we got confirmation from the locals that it was THE best place for lobster in the city that we decided to go!
As thrilled as I was to eat the lobster, I was even more thrilled to take a picture with one! After making a scene and expressing over and over again that I needed to take a picture with a lobster, our waiter brought out one of the largest lobsters they had on site! I can’t remember how much it weighed, but it was huge!
Located right on the dock, next to the beautiful Atlantic ocean, the location of The Lobster Pot was gorgeous and a worthwhile reason to dine in itself!
We ordered an appetizer with a few of my boss and I’s favorite things: mango, avocado, and crab. Heaven in your mouth, right? Right! It was light, refreshing, and so so yummy!
The customer service was great! (They allowed us to be loud and obnoxious.)We all enjoyed wearing our lobster bibs, too!
I’ve always thought lobster was a little overrated. 40 bucks for an inch of meat and 10 inches of shell that takes 5 years to crack open? No thanks. After eating at The Lobster Pot, however, the fun ambiance, customer service, and fresh lobster changed my mind a little! And I would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Cod in the near future!
Besides, garlic butter makes everything better!
Do you like lobster?
